Tyres last 4 years before expiry.

Before buying, check for the manufacturing date. It comes as 4 digits like 3022.

3022 means the 30th week in Year 2022 is the manufacturing date.

This means it will expire in the 30th week of 2026.

Driving expired tyres is an offence.

Lesson 3

When fixing new tyres, put the strong ones (new ones) at the back.

Most of us do it wrongly by putting them at the front.

Lesson 4

You are not allowed to use the small Tyre (donut tyre) that comes with your car as spare tyre in Nigeria.

You must buy a regular tyre as spare tyre.

Lesson 5

When driving behind a car, give enough space such that you can sight its tyres.

Break the raw eggs in a bowl and remove the yoke. Put the white part of the eggs in a blender. Cut your lemon into halves, then press out the lemon juice to remove the seeds. Pour the juice into the blender, add a pinch of salt and sugar, then blend little by little while gradually adding your Vegetable oil while blending till it becomes thick.

Gospel singer Sammie Okposo is dead 

Sammie Okposo, is dead.

The singer died on Friday morning,  He was 51 before his dead.

His project manager, Hillary Vincent, confirmed the news.

Responding to inquiries, he said, “Yes it’s true. It happened this morning.”

Vincent, however, declined further comments on the singer’s demise as he did not disclose the cause of the death.

However, unverified sources on the Internet stated that the singer slumped before he was pronounced dead.

Sammie Okposo started his music career as a soundtrack producer for Nollywood in 1992. He was well-known as at that time.

Nigerian singer, Kizz Daniel to perform at the ongoing 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Nigerian singer, Kizz Daniel  , has been confirmed as one of the headline performing.

The World Cup organisers, FIFA, made the confirmation on Friday as they detailed the five official performing artistes for the event.

In FIFA’s list of headliners for the FIFA Fan Festival during the World Cup, Kizz Daniel is the only African artiste performing alongside five international award-winning singers.

For the lineup, American DJ and Music Producer, Diplo, will also be performing on November 22 while Kizz Daniel’s performance is scheduled for November 23.

Canadian crooner, Nora Fatehi, will perform on November 29; American singer, Trinidad Cardona, on December 1 and Scotland’s Calvin Harris on December 10.

FIFA shared the update on its official Instagram page on Friday.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to hold in Qatar from Sunday, 20 November to Sunday, 18 December, 2022.

381 Akwa Ibom pharmacies, medicine shops shut 

The Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, on Friday, stated that it's enforcement team locked off a total of 381 pharmacies and patent shops in Akwa Ibom for different offences.

The Director and Head of Enforcement Department, PCN, Stephen Esumobi, who publicized this while briefing journalists in Uyo, said most of the affected shops were sealed off for operating without registration or renewal of premises certificates, unauthorised sale of medicines of abuse, and poor access control to the poison cupboard.

Other offences, according to him, are poor storage facilities and temperature control, and stocking and sale of prescription and other ethical products by patent medicine vendors, among others.

He said the enforcement agencies, in continuation of the current drive by the council to streamline the drug distribution system, visited 727 premises comprising 559 patent medicine shops and 168 pharmacies.

Esumobi stated, “The PCN enforcement team has been in Akwa Ibom State since the beginning of the week in continuation of the current drive by the council to streamline the drug distribution system in the country.

 

Osun food initiative reduced hardship, says govt 

Osun State Government has said that its commitment to sustaining the social intervention programmes strived at raising the standard of living of it's Tpeople.

 This confirmation was given by the state Commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties, Mr. Olalekan Badmus, while speaking at the flag-off the 20th edition of monthly allocation of food items to the vulnerable citizens in Osogbo on Friday.

 Badmus noted that the introduction of Osun food support scheme had helped to reduced hardship on the part of the vulnerable segment of the population.

He added: “This scheme has been a great success and we have been able to build more entrepreneurs as months went by. It has been very promising. If you look at the socioeconomic importance chain of this program, one will only but appreciate the impact it has made in people’s lives.

 “It is our hope and firm belief that it is a program that we are going to continue and as we are finishing our first term, Mr. Governor will continue with the scheme when he comes back for his second term because it is a scheme that needs to be continued.”

 

Selecao outclassed Eagles at every level – Fernandes

Akeredolu, PDP trade words over flyover inauguration: Osun.

The Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Friday, ripped Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for attending the inauguration of a flyover in Osogbo, Osun State.

Akeredolu reportedly attended the inauguration on the invitation of the Osun State Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola.n

In a statement given by the state Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr Kennedy Peretei, the opposition party described the action of Akeredolu as disgraceful as Ondo had no flyover.

However, Akeredolu, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Richard Olatunde, said Ondo PDP was “dipping into self-ridicule, and have no respect for human lives.”

The PDP in the announcement titled ‘Akeredolu’s anarchy in Ondo State (21): shamelessly commissions flyover in Osogbo when there is none in Akure.’

“Possibly, the event would not have needed any mention, but for the irony and shamelessness associated with it. Even if Akeredolu was invited to the ceremony, he should have said no, if only to save himself from the disgrace.

“Iis well known that Akure is the only state capital in the South-West without a single flyover. Osogbo has a population of 750,000 (2022) while Akure has 717,000 (2022).

“Osun State doesn't get as much as Ondo State from the federation's account monthly. Statistics of average monthly allocation to states in 2022 showed that Osun State is number 36 with N1.506bn and Ondo state is number 13 with an average of N4.412bn monthly.

The deceased was 72 years. Akande was the husband of Lola Akande, a sister to Oluremi, and current Lagos State Commissioner of Commerce, Industry, and Co-Operatives. The death of the elder was confirmed by the widowed wife.The death of the medical doctor, a close friend and confidant of Tinubu, brings to two, business and political associates of the APC national leader who have died in the last 48 hours.

Another friend, confidant, and Lagos lawmaker, Olayiwola Olawale, popularly known as Omititi, who died in Jos, the plateau state capital during the APC presidential rally was buried in Lagos yesterday, according to Islamic rites.The death of Akande came at a time the certified true copy of settlement judgement ordering Tinubu to forfeit $460,000 drug money under the narcotic section of the US criminal code is generating controversy in the country.

 

World’s oldest pupil dies in Kenya aged 99

The world’s oldest primary school student, Priscilla Sitieni, who decided to get an education in her 90s encouraged a French film and won praise from UNESCO, has passed away in Kenya at the aged of 99, local media reported.

Her grandson, Sammy Chepsiror, told The Standard newspaper that Gogo Priscilla (Granny Priscilla), as she was fondly known, died at home on Wednesday after developing a chest complication.

“Gogo has been in promising health and attending her classes not until three days to her demise when she developed chest pains, which forced her to stay out of school,” he told the newspaper on Thursday.

“We are thankful for the 100 years of her life. She made all of us proud,” he added.

 

Obi, Kwankwaso are ‘dangers’ to PDP – Fayose.

 The one time former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has characterized the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, as a danger to look out for in the coming 2023 elections.

Fayose said Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party were cancers to the Peoples Democratic Party in the elections.

Fayose declared this when he appeared on Channels TV’s ‘Politics Today’, Thursday night.

Fayose  said although he didn’t believe Obi could get the 25% of total votes required, he didn’t believe his party could win the South-West nor the South-East.

“I am a PDP member;  I’m a leader in this party, but I’ve always said to you; you can’t survive storm if you hide the truth. Obi is a danger to watch out for. I don’t believe Obi will make 25% in two-thirds in 24 states. I don’t believe Obi will make 25%. I am not against Obi, I love him and he’s a very vibrant leader.

But let me now say, Obi is more of a chronic cancer to the PDP. There’s no denying. Let me give you my analysis. In the South-West here, people might not like to hear that, they may say Fayose is this; I don’t see how the PDP will win in the South-West. Anybody deceiving us can continue to deceive us. I don’t see how the PDP will win in the South-East. The South-South will be a combination of all interests.

Fayose further explained that the votes would be split in the North, since either of the PDP nor the APC had ever picked a candidate from the North-West, adding that the presence of the New Nigeria Peoples Party presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, would also make winning the North-East difficult.

Let me now come back to the key states of the North. Without deceiving ourselves, there’s so much work to be done in the North-Central. Both the PDP and the APC have picked no candidate either as president or vice president in the North-West, which is Kaduna and so forth, leaving the North-East.

The NE is where you have the candidate of the APC, and Yobe and Borno, and so on. We give Adamawa State to our party. But don’t forget there’s another Kwankwaso who is a semi cancer, that can equally upstage figures in the North. Even if they want to support us in the North, it’s not that the PDP will be running with the votes there.”

He concluded that it was in the interest of the party and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to reconcile and/or negotiate with Obi and Governor Nyesom Wike of Cross River State.

“So reconciling or negotiating with Obi will be a good thing. Finding a way to make peace with this Wike’s people too will be a good thing,” Fayose said.

 Days After Bawa’s Kuje Prison Saga, EFCC Lands in Another Big Trouble.

The Kogi state government and the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) are in 

disagreement over a high court order, It is believed that both parties have been in court over a case 

(Secret) and a ruling was issued reinstruction the EFCC The Kogi state government has been out to say publicly that the EFCC is not sticking to the retraining order of the court .

The (EFCC) is now becoming a casualty of disagreement, which is meant to be the other way around. In a recent expansion, the commission is faced with a threatening legal battle with the Kogi state government for victimizing its officials.

As included in the declaration, the Kogi state government disclosed that the commission had exhibited the rulings of the High Court in a legal suit between them.

 

As documented by the Guardian, the Kogi state government alleged that the EFCC victimized its officials “over a bailout fund the Commission tried fruitlessly” to prove was squirreled away in an account, despite a court ultimatum restraining it.

Kogi state government said: 

But in spite of that EFCC tried to indict the cashier of the Kogi State Government House even without its plea against the court order was yet to be heard and determined.”

 EFCC arrests alleged currency speculator.

 The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission efcc has arrested an alleged currency speculator, Mustapha Muhammed also known as Mustapha Naira, in Abuja.

The commission made the announcement on their Twitter handle on Wednesday and also released a picture of the suspect.

The EFCC said the arrest was done as part of the commission’s effort to sanitize the foreign exchange sector.

The arrest was made on Saturday in the Wuse area of Abuja the Federal Capital Territory.

The commission tweeted, “As part of its ongoing operation to sanitise the foreign exchange sector and rid it of speculators and all shades of economic saboteurs, the EFCC has arrested one Mustapha Muhammed alias Mustapha Naira.

“He was picked up by men of the commission on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Wuse Zone 4 in Abuja, the hub of parallel market operations in the Federal Capital Territory.

“The suspect has given useful insight while the investigation is still on.

According to the music star before his trip, he made 10-15 million from his studio in 5 days so it was rather unbelievable that they made only but 7000.

“I rebrand my studio, people wey I put for my studio no wan to blow, I build studio, they didn’t no deliver my money, them dey chop my money. Studio wey be say anytime I record, I make 2 million, 3million, in 5 days I fit make 15million, when I travelled and return they said they make 7000 naira.
